Business Analytics
The Graduate Certificate Program in Business Analytics is designed to provide working professionals with knowledge and skills using cutting edge tools and techniques that encompass contemporary business analytics. This program takes a technical approach working with analytics from a business-oriented consulting perspective. The program includes credit-bearing courses, providing a path to additional Kelley School MS and MBA online degree programs.
Students get hands-on experience with the following software:
- IBM ILOG CPLEX 12
- SAS 9.2
- SAS Enterprise Miner
- SPSS 19
- IBM SPSS Modeler
- Palisade Decision Tools 5.5
Business Analytics Certificate and Courses
The Graduate Certificate Program in Business Analytics requires successful completion of the following four courses (a total of 12 credit hours):
- Statistical and Mathematical Foundation* (3 credits)
- Data Mining and Visualization (3 credits)
- Business Analytics Methods and Tools (3 credits)
- Business Intelligence Applications (3 credits)
* Note: this course can be taken stand-alone for those who are not pursuing a certificate program.
Path to MS and MBA Degrees
The 12 credit hours earned in the Graduate Certificate Program in Business Analytics can count towards any of the MS or MBA online degree programs offered by the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Several options exist for students completing this certificate to pursue an additional online degree—an MS or MBA—at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Students interested in applying credits earned while pursuing this certificate to a Kelley MS or MBA online degree program should contact Usha Venkataramanan.
